Rasterex Software, a global leader in visualization and collaboration technology, today announced the release of version R8.0 of their multi format viewer with support for AutoCAD 2007.

RxView allows users to view & print more than 250 different file formats (2D & 3D CAD, plot-files, PDF files, Office documents, raster images etc.), without having the design software installed on the machine.

RxHighlight adds advanced functions like mark-up, file conversion and text search & extraction, for collaboration between team members.

New Basic features:

·          Single executable for easy installation and implementation

·          Optional and customizable GUI: new R8 look, R7.3 look, or plain Windows XP

·          Much higher 3D speed when markup is disabled

·          About dialog now shows version of all used components

·          Config file path can be changed under Tools->Options->General

·          Display last saved view when opening a AutoCAD files (as in AutoCAD)

·          Custom file filter in file open dialog

New Markup features:

·          Time is added to the Print Reports (added as 6th column in the table)

·          Added counter elements

·          Customizable and predefined stamps

·          Revision cloud style for bubbles

·          Added information tooltip for markup elements (when mouse is over)

·          Added more frame styles to markup text elements (rounded rectangle, circles, revision clouds)

·          Markup files can be imported from other drawings

·          Added redline fill style: WIPEOUT

·          Stamps and symbols are included during export and conversion

·          Markup hyperlink and notes are shown, even if Push button is not active

·          Dimension line text can be placed above, on or below dimension line

·          Dimension line text can follow the dimension line rotation

·          Dimension line and area text can be transparent (without frame and fill)

·          Linear dimension lines are now available (horizontal or vertical)

·          Editable text for dimension lines and measurement areas

·          Custom data/metadata can be added to markup elements

·          Measurement area markup can optionally include circumference

·          Measurement area Summary Report

New Hyperlink features:

·          Open hyperlink URL in specific window

·          New redline fill type: Invisible. For example for hyperlink areas that will not be displayed as a markup.

·          Tooltip for hyperlinks are shown when mouse is over.

New Printing features:

·          Printer settings are remembered between sessions

·          Implemented Print to Limits (for AutoCAD files)

·          Direct print function for PLT, CALS and TIFF files

·          Print selected region

New Measurement features:

·          Added circumference to the measurement dialog

·          Added context menu for setting number of decimals in measurement dialog

·          Unit selection in measurement dialog for areas and distances

New Conversion features:

·          Convert any file with Rasterex markups to PDF with PDF annotations

·          Convert PDFs with vector data to AutoCAD dwg and other vector formats
