File Comparison

Two versions of a drawing file can be compared to show differences between similar files. This is a procedure used in engineering systems to document the changes between revisions of a drawing.

Typically, 2 files are selected and overlaid inside a compare window. The differences between the files are highlighted in separate colors. Blue color is used to show the differences in one file and red color is used to show the differences in the other file.

Picture 1 and 2 show two similar files. The compare picture highlights the differences between the files in color.
